Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 envelope reduced-sodium chili seasoning mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes and green chiles
  • 1 can (15 ounces) Ranch Style beans (pinto beans in seasoned tomato sauce)
  • 5 packages (1 ounce each) corn chips
  • Toppings: Shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream and sliced green onions

  • single serve bag of Doritos (or Fritos – one person)
  • 2 lbs of taco meat ready (we use our homemade taco seasoning mix)
  • Favorite taco toppings (chopped lettuce, tomatoes, homemade guacamole, shredded cheese, or sour cream)

Instruction:

  1. Prepare your taco meat. We like to use our Homemade taco seasoning mix recipe and I even like to add in 1/4 cup of salsa to our taco meat.
  2. Prepare the taco toppings.

  • 1 (1 ounce) taco seasoning packet (or this homemade taco seasoning)
  • 6-8 snack sized bags of Fritos or Doritos
  • Suggested Toppings:
  • black beans
  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • shredded cheese
  • sour cream
  • salsa
  • guacamole

Instruction:

  1. In a large skillet, brown beef or turkey over medium heat and drain the fat. Add the onion to the meat and sautee a couple of minutes until soft. Add the taco seasoning along with 1/2 cup of water and simmer until water is absorbed. If serving immediate pour in a bowl.
